According to one estimate, between 600,000-700,000 total Apple freaks were diddling on their iPads yesterday. That’s a bit more than the very conservative estimate of 200-300,000 sold. Other estimates were between 300-500,000 units, including pre-orders.
Several locations, including Palo Alto and Santa Clara CA, Portland OR and Lancaster PA were already sold out.
